Ok So here's an interior shot, Not really that much there, there's a seat, thats not even original to the car, and surface rust everywhere. heck it was even on the horn button, which is actually plastic you can see it in front of the shifter ( go figure ) the wood on the dash is shot, but maybe I can use it as a template. No door panels, I'll have to make those from scratch. I also know that there is quite a bit of rust in the regular places on this magnette, so looks like I'm gonna have to buy a welder, I got some Body hammer and dolly set. looks like it's gonna take me longer to afford the parts for this car way before I can even work on it.

First appearances
So here is my MG, it's a 1958 MG ZB "Magnette" . My wife's family gave me the car as a birthday present and I couldn't be happier. We trailered it about 400 miles from Livermore CA. this past weekend from my wife's Grandmothers house. I've been wanting a project car for a while, but wanted something small like a VW bug or an MG, so this car is perfect. This car has some sentimental value as it was my mother-in-laws car and was kind of a "hand me down, everyone learned to drive on this car" kind of vehicle. I am currently planning a resto-mod for this car which will probably make a lot of MG purists mad, but when i am done, I want a fun, reliable, safe ( no turn signals, or seat belts right now ) car my family can enjoy. But I love the classic look and will do my best to keep within the design and feel of the car. As for right now it needs a deep cleaning, just so I can see what I am up against. I already know there is quite a bit of rust, especially in the trunk, sills, and drivers side floors. hopefully that will be the worst of it and it will not be that hard to repair.
